Take Action to Help Turn the Tide

Advocate for Phone Free Schools

Delay Smartphones Until High School

Join Scarborough parents in signing the Wait Until 8th Pledge, and recruit friends too!

Note, this means wait until AFTER 8TH GRADE (i.e. high school) for smartphones. Basic phones and tracking watches are okay! (But not in school)

Pledges age up on July 1st. After July 1st you can sign the pledge for your incoming kindergartener.

Your donation matters.

Help support our goals to get more books into the hands of teachers and staff at Scarborough schools, sustain our website to share our mission, deliver programming on how to navigate the digiverse, or organize community events focused on nurturing a play-based childhood.

Thanks to generous donations, we have already distributed over 100 copies of The Anxious Generation to Scarborough educators and leaders!

“Schools should ensure that classroom learning and social time are phone-free experiences.”
